CandiRats Rattery Adoption Agreement

 

Basic Rat Care

            Each rat adopted from CandiRats comes with a basic rat care handout. 

Please initial here stating that you did receive the Basic Rat Care handout  ________  or have read the Basic Rat Care Handout on-line ___________.

 

Please read over the handout and follow the advice.  As a rat owner you are now required to do the following:

·    Ensure the rat has fresh food and water at all times.

·    Ensure the rat lives in a clean and healthy environment.

·    Ensure that the rat receives proper veterinary care.

·    Never abandon the rat.

·    Provide the rat with the affection and stimulation needed by a living creature.

·    Treat the rat humanely at all times, and supervise any children handling or caring for the rat.

If for any reason in the future you are not able to keep your rat(s) bred by CandiRats please contact me and I will take them back.  No money will be refunded.

 

14 day Health Guarantee

            Each rat comes with a 14 day health guarantee.  It is agreed by both the adopter and the breeder that the rat(s) in question appear healthy at time of adoption and are not showing any signs of disease or illness.  This guarantee is only valid if the rat is properly quarantined for two weeks from other rats not purchased from CandiRats Rattery.  Rats that are not cared for properly as stated in the Basic Rat Care handout will not be covered by the guarantee.  Injuries caused by trauma are not covered.  If your rat becomes ill during the 14 days and has not been exposed to other rats, please contact me immediately.  I can exchange your rat for a different rat or refund your money.    I will not pay for any veterinary expenses occurred without my consent.  Rescue rats and rats not bred at CandiRats are not guaranteed.
